Natural Horsemanship Clinic
This
two-day clinic is designed to lead
participants and their horses to a
more safe and trusting relationship.
Non-abusive, Natural Horsemanship
training techniques, combined with
Centered Riding philosophies, offer
a well rounded program. The clinic
days begin with ground exercises for
the humans and move onto ground work
with the horses. This format will
help participants gain new insights
and safely establish respect, confidence
and trust with their equine partner.
The afternoon sessions include application
of these exercises under saddle for
improved performance and communication.
Centered Riding Jumping Clinics
Jumpers
will improve their comfort, confidence,
balance and overall communication
with their horse by implementing the
CR basics into their rides. Improve
your jumping technique and performance
through learning how to correctly
carry yourself. This will help assist
you in staying out of your horse‘s
way and allowing him to do his job
with greater ease. Learning how to
use clear intent from your center
will also help you encourage your
horse to stay straight and true on
the jump course. The goal of this
clinic is to get each horse and rider
team performing in a more relaxed,
confident, balanced and harmonious
manner.
Gaining
Confidence Through Managing Fear Clinic
Experiencing
fear is common, but for some it can
seriously inhibit their ability to
enjoy something they truly love. This
two-day clinic is designed to help
those that would like to feel more
confident working around and riding
horses. The knowledge gained will
help participants evaluate their fears
and give them some necessary tools
to help them regain confidence and
redevelop trust. This clinic will
include self-help exercises for the
rider, ground exercises to establish
leadership and control with the horse,
as well as support under saddle. This
clinic is complimented by the blending
of Centered Riding principals and
Natural Horsemanship techniques.
Centered Riding Multi-Discipline Open
Clinics
Riders
of every discipline and level are
welcomed to participate in these open
clinics. Walk/trot to seasoned competitors
will benefit from obtaining a thorough
understanding of the basics. Participants
will learn how to communicate more
clearly through their bodies, leading
to a more, relaxed, trusting and enjoyable
relationship with their horse.

Round Pen Workshop
Learn
the basic steps, get help improving
your technique or problem solving,
in these "hands-on" workshops.
Round pen training helps build a partnership
based on mutual trust & respect.
Participants learn how to improve
their communication skills by becoming
more mindful of their own body language,
practice recognizing the slightest
"try", rewarding it and
become the "Passive Leader"
their horses deserve. These workshops
begin with a demonstration, allow
time for practice without the horse
and finish up with each participant
working in the pen with a horse. When
held at Maple Ridge participants can
bring their own horses or learn from
one of ours. These workshops generally
run from 3-5 hours and are limited
to 6 participants, plus auditors.
Please contact us if you have a round
pen and would like to set up a workshop
at your facility or would like to
attend one of ours.
